Swiss Army Watches, Knives, Luggage and Clothing
The name "Swiss Army" is perhaps best associated with Swiss Army knives, with the original Swiss Army knife being created nearly 110 years ago on 12 June 1897 in the small Swiss village of Ibach.
Today the Victorinox factory in Switzerland, founded by Carl Elsener to create work in Schwyz to help stem the growing tide of emigration born out of unemployment, employs nearly 1,000 people and produces in the region of 35,000 Swiss Army knives every day, of which the vast majority are exported to over 100 countries worldwide.
Swiss Army knives have established their place in history having been used on expeditions around the globe from the Arctic to the Antarctic and from the tropical forests of the Amazon to the highest peak on earth, Mount Everest. As if this were not enough, Swiss Army knives have even been adopted by the crew of the Space Shuttle, making it a truly "universal" tool.
I thank…Accept my gratitude…A Special thank …from the deep of my heart.
